Dear Queen and Mother, who promised at Fatima to convert Russia and bring peace to all mankind, in reparation for my sins and the sins of the whole world, I solemnly promise to your Immaculate Heart:
1. To offer up every day the sacrifice demanded by my daily duty;
2. To pray a part of the Rosary while meditating on the mysteries;
3. To wear the scapular of Mount Carmel as profession of this promise and as an act of consecration to you.
I shall renew this promise often, especially in moments of temptation.

Commentary

This pledge is quite appropriate. It summarizes the Message of Fatima quite succinctly.  It begins with an obligation under the Natural Law, that is the accurate fulfillment of the duties of our state of life.  This is so ignored today by people.  How many parents neglect their children criminally and thus they are lost to eternal misery in Hell?  And this can be found not only among the neo-pagans in the world, but even those who claim to be truly Christian and truly devoted to the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, and yet neglect their children and their proper education and encouragement in true devotion and learning the Catholic Way of Life.  Indeed if we fail to fulfill our duties to God and our fellow man, especially those of our own household, then we shall burn eternally.  And wearing a hundred scapulars and saying a hundred Rosaries a day will not prevent that!

Next follows the recitation of a third part of the Rosary, that is the Joyful, Sorrowful or Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary each day WHILE MEDITATING ON THE MYSTERIES.  Remember the pryaers are a back drop to the contemplation of the sacred mysteries of our salvaiton, transmitted to us over many centuries to our own day.

Finally we must wear the Scapular, and live up to the way of life it represents, which as a bare minumu means observing the Ten Commandments and humble obedience to the Church founded by Jesus Christ.  Without this obedience to God and His holy Church, it is impossible to save our souls.  And this obedience includes accepting all of the truths of the Divine and Catholic Faith without question or quibble.
