June 6, 1830: On this day, Our Lord showed Himself to me in the Blessed Sacrament vested as a king, and adorned with the cross upon His breast. Then, a moment afterward, I saw Him without His regal ornaments; everything, including the cross, fell to the ground at His feet. "It was then that I was oppressed by the most sad thoughts. I believed, as a result of what I had seen, that the earthly King was to be dethroned and deprived of His royal ornaments; and all kinds of ideas, which I find it impossible to express, came to me about the evils that would follow.
Date not set: The times are very evil. Great misfortune will come to France: her throne will be overthrown! The whole word will be upset by evils of every kind. - The Blessed Virgin to be very much grieved when She said this. - But come to the foot of this altar; grace awaits all, whether they be great or little, who ask for it fervently and with confidence.
My child, I am pleased to shower grace upon your community, for I love it very much. Nevertheless, I am saddened to see that great abuses exist: the Rule is not well observed, regularity is lacking. In both families there has been too great a relaxation. Tell this to your director, although he is not (yet) the superior. Then, in time, when he will be given charge of the community in a special way, he is to do all he possibly can to restore the Rule. Tell him this is from Me. He is to guard against bad reading matter (TV would now be included here) against loss of time and against useless visiting. ...
When the Rule be again kept in honor, another community will come to joined with your own. This is not customary, buty I also bery most more this community, and you are to say that they are to be received. God will bless them and they will enjoy great peace. And thus your community will become very large.
Indeed there will be great danger, and it will be though that all is lost when the misfortunes begin to occur. But I shall be with you; have donfidence; you will see that I shall come to your aid, for you are under the divine protection, and Saint Vincent will watch also over his two families.
It will not be as well, alas, with other religious houses wherein there will be many victims - Our Lady wept when She said this There will also be victims among the clergy of Paris. The archbishop himself will die. - at these words She wept again -The Cross will be insulted; blood will flow in the streets. - here the Blessed Virgin could speak no longer so great was Her grief, and this was shown in Her face.
I asked this question (when this will happen) silently, and I understood perfect when Our lady replied: In forty years.(i.e. circa 1870.)
November 27, 1830 eve of the First Sunday of Advent: Miraculous Medal revelation: An oval frame seemed to form, and in its upper protion the following words were inscribed in semicircular form about the upper part of Our Lady's body: O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee.
Have a medal made after this pattern. Whose who wear it, blessed, will receive great graces and will enjoy the special protection of the Mother of God.
A large M, surmounted by a cross having a double bar under it. Beneath this M, the holy hearts of Jesus and Mary were placed side by side, the first being crowned with thorns, the other pierced by a sword. And about were twelve stars.
